This year the meetings to be held at a new venue - the Methodist Church Hall, Castle Street, Oswestry

All meetings at 7.30pm unless otherwise stated.

There is nearby parking on the Horsemarket and Oak Street Car Parks. There is also limited parking outside the hall on Castle Street but please leave this free for those members with mobility problems.

Friday 10th February 7-30pm - Oswestry's forgotten Grand National winner: the story of Thomas Jackson, Zoedone, an Austrian Empress and a Bohemian Count
John Pinfold, author and leading racing historian
Friday 10th March - OBHAG AGM
AGM followed by Presidential Lecture by John Pryce Jones
"A banker, a distiller and a watchmaker - the ancestry of Edward and Mary Salter, builders of Plas Wilmot, Wilfred Owen's birthplace."
Friday 7th April - 7-30pm "Sycharth - A Baron's Stately Home"
Gareth Williams, formerly a Senior Lecturer in History at Glyndwr University, Wrexham.
Wednesday 10th May - Evening Visit - Oswestry's Castle and Town Walls. Walk and visit to a current excavation at the castle.
Led by Roger Cooper and Margaret Hill
( Meet at the castle mound entrance, 7.00pm.)
Friday 9th June - Evening Visit - The Berth, Baschurch. Guided Walk
(Meet at 7.00pm)

Includes guided tours of the King Richard III Visitor Centre, the Cathedral and Richard's Tomb
